AI GENERATIVE Algorithms have reshaped visual culture, and my goal is to seek, through an alternative perspective, a meaningful alliance, one that allows me to explore visual dimensions that would otherwise remain inaccessible.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND HAND DRAVING: EMBOSSING
The visual image evolves from the initial photographic shot into a newly “reconstructed” representation, where the manual addition of drawing brings authenticity and personality to the work. Through the technique of embossing—relief engraving—my thoughts take on a tangible form, revealing their physical dimension.
THE MESSAGE is rooted in the synergy between tradition and innovation, where rebirth through the harmony of different techniques. Hand-drawing is not just an aesthetic addition—it’s a way to reconnect with my emotional sense of the past. At the same time, AI represents a forward-looking gaze into the future. Together, these elements tell stories of transformation—an emotional journey that links what has been abandoned with what could become possible.
From Abandonment to Rebirth
The book The Seven Lamps of Architecture, written in 1849 by philosopher John Ruskin, is the inspirational source behind the Eighth Lamp project. In a way, it feels as though I am continuing Ruskin’s narrative within my own contemporary context.
This extensive, ongoing project—initiated in 2021—remains rooted in the path outlined by Ruskin’s text. Each photographic series carries the responsibility of revealing the infinite potential of abandoned "things," restoring—each time—an environment of memories and a stimulus for awareness around recovery and reuse. These narratives are conveyed through ever-evolving modes of visual expression.
